Felicifia is an online community for all things related to the utilitarianism ethics system, which recommends doing whatever maximizes "utility", which roughly means "quality of life". While its structure is based on that of blogs, it is an open community- anyone can register and post diaries (in addition to comments) without any moderator intervention. Topics range from timeless philosophical questions to the latest research and issues in a wide variety of disciplines spanning academia, all related to utilitarianism, including:

  • Descriptive, prescriptive, and meta ethics
  • Biological basis of utility
  • Utilitarianism in economics and political science
  • Issues including climate change, existential risk, global poverty, non-human animal wellbeing

The current Felicifia site was launched in January 2007.
